A British-born, naturalised American, Peter Bowes is a freelance journalist and broadcaster. He is trained as a biologist and has spent much of his career working in news, current affairs and documentary-making for the BBC. A regular contributor to the BBC News channel, BBC World News, Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, Radio 2 and the BBC World Service, he covers everything from science and politics to Hollywood and Silicon Valley. He has a keen interest in the issues surrounding human longevity and lifestyles that promote healthy ageing. Peter lives on a ranch in California with his partner, dog, goats and a llama.
Peter Bowes has been on a new diet that claims to guard against disease and slow ageing. Then he met a group with a mutation that lets them eat what they want while enjoying the same protection.
