Martha is a freelance science and health journalist based in London. She studied natural sciences at the University of Cambridge and then needed to debrief, so she stayed on for a Master’s in the history and philosophy of science, graduating in 2013.
Since then, her news stories, features and podcasts have appeared on BBC Earth, BBC Britain, Chemistry World, The Naked Scientists and Australian Broadcasting Corporation services, among others.
She’s also done stints working in film and on documentaries in the UK and Italy. She believes there are valuable life skills to be gained from deciphering fuzzy Italian over a walkie-talkie while running around a set in a shoe shop in Rome. Her interests within science are broad, but she has been known to get particularly animated when talking about medical and scientific ethics.
